MY TESTIMONY, part 2

In 2005, I received an award from the International Society of Poetry for my poem, "Walk Away," which was set to music and recorded on Krusade's Contact CD. My poem, "Life/Choice" was read before the ISP's Summer Convention at Washington, D.C. at the Awards Ceremony.

Also in 2005, I began publiching a weekly political cartoon called PolyTicks®, which uses a mixture of web-designed characters and photographic backgrounds to illustrate a political point. PolyTicks® has won several awards, including being regularly featured on the Conservative Free Republic website.

In 2006, I also began singing with RLB's lead singer Loren Ricer as Lauer & Ricer. Playing acoustic guitars, we perform original and covers of contemporary praise & worship sings in the style of Chris Tomlin, Jeff Deyo, and Jeremy Camp. The band formerly known as MegaLife secured a new drummer and prepared for a tour in 2006 as Agnellus Rex, which is Latin for "The Lamb is King." The band soon changed its name to Unspoken, which was changed once again in 2007 to Goodbye Luci (short for Lucifer).

In February of 2006, I helped to found the Ohio Valley Christian Music Association (OVCMA), which is a network of Christian musicians, singers, songwriters, etc. in Ohio and its neighboring states. The OVCMA sponsors an Annual PraiseFest in Noble County, OH, which features live Christian music of various genres, from Bluegrass and Country Gospel to Christian Rock and Contemporary. The 2006 PraiseFest was the 26th Annual festival, formerly known as the Praise the Lord Day. The OVCMA is now accepting applications for membership. For more information, visit www.ovcma.com.

In August of 2007, I am in the studio with Loren Ricer and the Real Life Band, recording material for RLB's first CD, Loren's solo CD, and my next studio project (Lonekrusader II). One of the songs we plan to record is "Your Love is Like". To hear a raw live demo (very low-quality) of the song, go to my homepage and turn up your speakers. Once it is recorded professionally, the audio quality will be more like the second audio sample on the bottom of the homepage, "Walk Away".
